HIT is a workout logger. We collect what you log so the app can store it, sync it between your devices and show you your progress. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising trackers. You can export or delete everything at any time from Profile in the app.
What we collect
- Account: how you sign in, which is your phone number, or the name and email address your Apple or Google account shares with us. If you add them: name, bio, date of birth, profile photo and preferred weight unit.
- Training: workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, durations and notes; templates, weekly plans and goals; personal records and achievements; the mood and fatigue ratings you give after a workout; and the start date you set in Days Counter.
- AI: the insights you generate and the questions you ask the AI coach, when those features are available.
- Technical: crash reports (device model, OS version, app version, an account identifier and what the app was doing when it crashed).
How we use it
- To save your training and sync it across your devices.
- To calculate your stats, streaks, personal records and achievements.
- To generate AI insights, only when you ask for one.
- To send reminders you have turned on.
- To find and fix crashes.
Who else handles it
- Google Firebase stores and processes your data for us: sign-in (Authentication), your account and training data (Firestore), your profile photo (Storage), crash reports (Crashlytics) and app settings (Remote Config).
- Apple or Google, if you sign in with them, confirm who you are and share your name and email address with us.
- Google Gemini generates AI insights. When you ask for one, a summary of your workouts and, if you have added them, your date of birth, bio and preferred unit are sent to Gemini. Your name and phone number are not sent.
Nobody else receives your data, and we never sell it.
Where it is stored
On your device, so the app works offline, and in Google Cloud through Firebase, which may process data outside your country.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our servers and from your device straight away. Crash reports are kept by Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Profile › Export Data.
- Correct it: tap your profile card, or edit any workout.
- Delete everything: Profile › Delete Account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
- Stop notifications: in your phone's settings, at any time.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us and we will help.
Children
HIT is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
